A Perfect Stay – Highly Recommended! From the moment we arrived, everything about this Airbnb exceeded our expectations. Communication with the host was quick, warm, and helpful—they made us feel welcome even before we set foot in the door. Check-in was a breeze, with clear instructions that made everything stress-free. The home itself was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, with every detail carefully considered. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens fresh and soft, and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We especially loved the little touches—fresh flowers on the table, local snacks, and a guidebook full of insider tips on things to see and do in the area. Location-wise, it couldn’t have been better. We were just minutes away from great restaurants, shops, and attractions, yet the neighborhood was peaceful and safe. What truly stood out was the host’s hospitality—they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, even checking in mid-visit to see if we needed anything. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and we would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. If you’re considering booking this place, don’t think twice—it’s a gem!

We returned to Casa22 for our second visit. And Mel Gonzalez, our host, as always, did not disappoint! We stayed in a different suite this time. It was impeccable and so luxurious. It had a private entry, full living room with private access to a balcony, full kitchen, double vanity bath area and bedroom with king size bed, desk and seating area. In addition, there was direct access down a private exterior stair to the pool. The entire space was beautifully appointed and decorated. Staying here is like staying at a 5-star boutique hotel with all of the personal customer service attention from the Host. I highly recommend booking your stay in Merida here - Casa22 will NOT disappoint!

All the reviews of Casa 22 are 5 star, because Mel the owner and host, is a 5 star guy. With a background in art and architecture, he has a wonderful sense of style, detail, and comfort. He has lovingly created the 4 great apartments at Casa 22 from a historic house. Guests have these beautiful places to stay, but also have access to a large living room area and beautiful outdoor area. You can sit and read by the pool in this wonderful tropical setting and easily forget you are 10 minutes from downtown Merida. We occupied 2 apartments, and never heard other guests. We kept windows open and just slept with the fan on at night, enjoying nighttime breezes. All of the reviews detail how Mel is a gracious, knowledgeable, and caring host -- and its true. There are also wonderful restaurants all over Merida, and it is a great place to vacation. We can't say enough good things about our time there.

My first time staying here, and it was a great overall experience. Beautiful property, inside and out. Spacious and modern rooms. Beautifully manicured outdoor space, including pool. Great location - close to airport and many Merida activities / things to do. Safe neighborhood - walkable day or night. Walking distance to multiple convenience stores, bakery, restaurants, park / playground, etc. As great as all of this was, it was surpassed by the 5-star service of the owner (Mel), who went far above and beyond to make my family's stay truly memorable. Thank you Mel for everything you did for us during our trip. Forever grateful.

Beautiful accommodation — we loved every part of our stay. The full kitchen was a huge plus, and the bedroom was perfect; you could walk straight out and be at the pool immediately. I especially loved the backyard and even did a little Pilates/yoga workout there. Having a smart TV right above the bed was another thoughtful touch. After staying in Mérida, I can confidently say this was the best place we could have chosen. We hope to return someday, and if we do, we will absolutely be staying at Renee’s again.

It was a pleasure to meet Renée Alberto, who is an exceptional host and who gave us useful tips about Merida. The house is a gem - stylish and spacious. We also loved the trees, plants and artwork around the house. It is rare to find a place like this. We hope to return in the future. Thank you very much!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host’s hospitality was truly exceptional—warm, responsive, and thoughtful from start to finish, making us feel welcome the moment we arrived. The property itself is beautiful, spotless, secure, and very well maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. One of the biggest highlights is the unbeatable location: a quick drive to the airport, and super convenient to Centro for food and goods shopping, Paso de Montejo for dining, shopping, and exploring. It was the perfect home base for our trip. I got very sick during my stay and the host accompanied me to seek medical help. He assisted with translation but more so provided assurance through the overall process to visit a doctor and to obtain medications which is very different than the US. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Public review • * 5 One of the best places we've stayed. Quiet and beautiful place to relax after a day of exploring. The room was pristine and the property was gorgeous. Short and inexpensive DiDi to many places of interest and walkable. Renee the host was great and l'd definitely recommend and stay there again. Well worth the money.
